Puerto Vallarta has an incredible number of diverse activities and entertainment. You can fill rush while Go Karts, s pend a few hours horseback riding in the jungle or go for Mountain biking to see ancient stone art. Take a n exiting hike to a serene waterfall or a calming experience like bird watching. If you wish, spend the morning floating above Banderas Bay from a parasail or in flights in a hot air balloon. Also, free concerts are arranged often for music lovers in the main square on the malecon... all this options are available in a wide array of environments. The list is more diverse then most of the resorts in the world.
Activities in Puerto Vallarta do not get over at the end of the day. There is great number of dining places available to satisfy your taste buds with food of your preference. Golf / Tennis
Puerto Vallarta has two state-of-the-art 18 hole golf courses. One of the golf courses is located at Flamingos Golf Club. Flamingos Golf Club is situated near Nuevo Vallarta, a new residential-resort development lies in the north of the airport in Nayarit. Marina Vallarta Club de Golf is located at Marina Vallarta. One more is coming up at Punta de Mita. Tennis enthusiasts have not been forgotten. Lighted tennis courts are part of every resort hotel, and three tennis centers exist some that are available to non guests.

A highlight of every visit to Puerto Vallarta is the shopping. A shoppers "dream come true" here. Puerto Vallarta seemingly has it all. Do not plan a trip to Puerto Vallarta without setting aside some shopping time. It really is difficult to imagine the variety of items available in Puerto Vallarta . Probably Puerto Vallarta is the only place in all of Latin America where you can avail a copy of the Wall Street Journal from a beach vendor!
The shopping in Puerto Vallarta is as rich and diverse as the history and culture. T o many it will be the ultimate shopping experience. Stroll down any street in the downtown area, you will find shops offering something special. There are outdoor markets, shopping centers, small indoor centers and everything in between. The city has hundreds of shops where visitors can purchase, designer fashions, trinkets, sombreros, collector crafts and art from all over Mexico and beyond.
Puerto Vallarta is well suited for the modest budget. Jewelry, paintings and handicrafts by resident Mexican and foreign artist are easily found. Natural beauty isn't the only attraction in Puerto Vallarta. Everything is available--from the exquisite yarn and handy craft of local Huichol Indians to jewelry of every description with excellent values and modern Mexican home furniture. There are boutiques around the town. Most of them sell general beach and sportswear.
The local Artisans Market (sometime called the Flea Market) is crowded with stalls selling local handicrafts, clothing and souvenirs. Art galleries are highlight of Puerto Vallarta's ambiance. The town's rich culture has and deep interest in art has resulted in perception of Puerto Vallarta as a leading center of exquisite and unique artistic of paintings and sculptors.
Restaurants
Puerto Vallarta is a food lover's paradise! This wonderful city has more number of quality restaurants than any other resort in Mexico. You could easily have a great meal every time you eat in Puerto Vallarta. Some of México's most delicious food items can be found in Puerto Vallarta. It would be impossible to provide information on Puerto Vallarta's hundreds of food and beverage outlets and night clubs. They are found in abundance in each of the hotel zones. It is important to note there need be little attention regarding health concerns in connection with food and beverage services. The service establishments around take great care to use only purified water and ice (required by city laws).
Night Life
Whatever your taste in entertainment, you'll be thrilled with the night life in Puerto Vallarta. Puerto Vallarta's great night life scene starts late and goes on till the sun is about to make its appearance on horizon.
There is plenty of entertainment for those of you who like to stay up late and remain in bed at a decent hour. Many of Puerto Vallarta's restaurants feature live music and often there are performances arranged that rocks the malecon on any given night. Also, there are public concerts at the main square, just before sunset. Most major hotels arrange a great event called "Mexican Fiesta". It is a dinner and showbiz extravaganza. General Public takes part in it in large numbers.
Since these performances end early you can take a stroll along the malecon spend your time in a relaxed state of mind. This is a regular part of Puerto Vallarta's culture. Most evenings in Vallarta are Exciting, energetic and full of fun. Obviously, when you are in such a lively city, there is so much you can do, so many places to go such as, Jazz or Rock Clubs, discos, Piano Bars, Beach Bars, and Romantic Boat Cruises. In one evening you can watch the sunset from a little hideaway on the malecon, go out for dinner and a show, and then dance in one of the gallant night club until dawn. There are Mexican Fiestas with music in many exciting styles from romantic trios to rock and roll.
Great News for sports fans!! They will find several bars with giant TV screens all over town. Or for a quieter night listen to acoustical music at one of the many resort lounges. After dark, Puerto Vallarta remains in business but, after a long day of touring, shopping, sunning or sailing, most of the town is fairly quiet by midnight except those lively night clubs and discotheques around town and at the leading hotels which often stay open till the dawn. Puerto Vallarta offers great night life for party poopers, making it an unforgettable night life they must have were had.
